The proposed pre-poll alliance between Congress and two Left parties in Telangana is in jeopardy. The Communist Party of India (CPM) has given Congress until Thursday afternoon to honor its commitment on seat sharing, while the Communist Party of India (CPI) has decided to wait for two days. The CPM has stated that if Congress does not fulfill its commitment, they will field candidates in the constituencies where they have a strong presence. There is pressure on the Congress leadership to not ally with the CPI and CPM.
