Maruti Suzuki India has announced that its shareholders have approved the proposal to issue shares to its parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), as part of a related-party transaction. This transaction is for the acquisition of a 100% stake in Suzuki Motor Gujarat. The company received approval through a postal ballot on two special resolutions related to the acquisition.
