A 38-year-old man in Nagpur suffered a sudden heart attack and was without a heartbeat for over an hour. However, doctors managed to revive him after 45 minutes of CPR. The patient remained in the ICU for 45 days and was discharged on October 13. The cardiologist overseeing the case chose to continue CPR beyond the usual 40-minute threshold due to the patient's age and ventricular fibrillation. The man did not experience any negative side effects from the prolonged CPR.
