On G20 eve, IAF & Army kick off drill on China-Pak fronts

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has initiated a combat training exercise called "Trishul" along the China-Pakistan fronts in the northern and western sectors. The exercise aims to assess the overall combat readiness of the Western Air Command (WAC) and involves the deployment of various combat assets, including fighters like Rafales and Sukhoi-30MKIs, transport aircraft, and surface-to-air guided weapons. The exercise will have a temporary pause during the G20 summit in New Delhi. Meanwhile, units from the Army's two China-specific mountain strike corps are also conducting training in their designated operational areas. The military confrontation with China in eastern Ladakh continues without signs of de-escalation.
